We have a....TOOTH!!!

Yes indeed, we have a tooth! Allison is teething!!! I noticed it just this past weekend. On Saturday we went to the home show and she was chewing on my fingers quite a bit and a few times the bite hurt a bit. Then on Sunday, I noticed a lil white thingy in her mouth and well...it's the tip of her tooth!!! We are just so...excited! And she is taking it pretty well so far....I'm assuming that it will get worse. But I think we are prepared....frozen teething rings, cold wet rags....and we do have a supply of oragel!!!
Anyway, that is our news. We haven't been able to capture a photo quite yet. But maybe in a week or so we'll be able to catch her no longer "gummy" smile!!!

Thank Goodness it's....FRII....wait it's only Thursday!!

Haha, so that's what my week feels like! I totally feel like it should be Friday! Being a stay at home mommy really makes my days run into each other! However, I'm not complaining b/c I really enjoy being at home!
This week has been somewhat eventful. Well....not really! HAHA!
My big news is that I Joined....CURVES!!! I'm pretty darn excited about it too!! I decided...I need to be more healthy and fit! And I know that I have kind of been using the excuse of....being a new mommy....and it's been cold out so I don't want to go anywhere.
BUT....it's time to shed my winter skin!!! And like I said I'm pretty darn excited about it! I went for my first workout today and I tell ya what....it really is a workout! All the gals were really nice to me too! And there was a gal about my age there too....so maybe it'll be a new place to meet some friends....maybe some "Mommy" friends!
Chuck is all for it too! Of course he'd be up for anything that would get me into that skimpy bikini again!!!
So I've set my goal, 30lbs! Might take a lil longer than 6 weeks, but hey that's fine! Just as long as I'm doing something to keep my heart healthy and going. Plus it gives me 30 minutes of "Emily" time!! Like the sign says....it's our time and not our kids' time! SO Allison will either be going to Grandpa & Grandma Palmers....or I'll be going on days that daddy is off work.
This is also great b/c I will be on a new "diet" Healthy food!!! Which also means...Chuck will be eating more healthy too! One Stone....Two birds!!! Plus we'll also get into the groove of more cooking at home and showing an example for Allison for when she gets older.
So yea, wow that must have been the excitement for the week b/c that is really all I have to write today!
Looking forward to the weekend, Chuck is off Friday and Saturday. Maybe the Home Show in KCMO will be calling our name on one of those days. Hopefully!!! And to garage sales we go, as we are hunting for a highchair and a light weight stroller. I know I know, we could just go buy one, but hey, we gotta save money to spend on Allison for when we are in Jamaica!!! HEHE!!

Happy ST. Patty's Day

Yea I know I'm a day late, but hey, we had a fun day. We went to the Kansas City's St. Patty's Day Parade. It was a bit chilly and windy, but we stayed warm!!!! It was our first St. Patty's Day Parade ever!!! So it was cool to see what all the excitement was about for March 17th!!! We took a few photos and here they are! Enjoy your Sunday!

In a cheerful mood

Here is Allison trying to "drink" out of my big jug of water!!! SO cute!! She tries to copy me and pick up the jug...yet not very successful unless it is empty.

So today has been a great day for the most part....not sure why...nothing too exciting has happened. It's a beautiful day out, I believe it reached the upper 50s today. Sun was just a shining!!! Maybe that's what has put me into a better mood. Spring is on it's way, the warm weather, sun shining and the occasional spring shower.

Part of it may be that my sister Katie came down to visit for a few days, she left yesterday to go back to Akron, to stay at mom and dad's for the rest of her spring break. Miss her already. She is so much fun to be around and always someone I can count on to talk to about "Girl" stuff. Plus I'm sure that she really enjoys spending time with Allison. She came in handy on Tuesday as I had made an appointment at the Chiropractor, so I didn't have to worry about hurry up to get home to feed Allison. Plus it gave me some "alone" mommy time. something all mothers deserve once in awhile. Maybe that's another reason I'm in a cheerful mood, I feel refreshed after visiting the Chiropractor. I have another appointment for tomorrow morning. Chuck is off tomorrow so that means another couple hours of Mommy alone time. I guess the Chiropractor said that I am way out of wack, so my body is not aligned.....I knew that before I even went to see the lady, b/c one leg was longer than the other!!! That means I'm really outta wack!

Anyways, so I'm sure there are many things that have contributed to me being "Cheerful", but the weather sure does play a part! Especially since we are able to open the patio door and a few windows to let the FRESH air roll in!!! I also cleaned yesterday so that was a relieft getting that done, but yet.....the carpet already has little strings on it and some leaves laying around from what Kirby and Lucy brought into the house.

I tell ya what, that Kirby is just something. What he did today is the only thing that has really disturbed me!!! They love being out on the deck so I just shut the screen door and let the 2 run around, well they were sunbathings on the deck and I hear this grinding-chewing noise. I look out, there is Kirby the little pain in the you know what....chewing on the side of the house!!! He peeled off some paint, I guess he thought it tasted good?? Hopefully he didn't eat too many paint chips, cuz i really don't feel like making another trip to the vet! But I do hope he is okay!!!

Oh and Here I am with Kirby....yes that's a pooper scooper. Since all the snow has melted more and more piles of poo have been magically appearing!!! Kirby looks for the poo I pick it up with the scooper and place it in a Target bag!!!

20 days....WOW!! Lots of snow!!!

So it has been 20 days since I've last blogged!!! I have been going crazy b/c I haven't been able to access my account, for some reason, my mother's lap top wouldn't let me in!!!

A lot has happened since the last blog....we went to Iowa on February 22nd, made our first stop in Fonda to see Bonnie, then on Sunday made our way over to Akron to see my parents, by the way, we drove through a blizzard!!! SO we arrived in Akron maybe around noonish? maybe it was earlier i can't really remember. We were suppose to travel home Tuesday b/c Chuck had to go back to work on Wednesday, well.....Chuck said it would be okay for Allison and I to stay in Akron until the weekend, since Katie (my sis) started spring break Friday afternoon and she was going to come down to KC anyway, so we figured she could bring us down. So that was the plan, chuck and the 2 dogs headed home Tuesday late morning and us girls went to have lunch with Katie in Vermillion at a Chinese Buffet, which i must say wasn't the greatest.

SO.....we ended up being snowed in for 3 DAYS!!! I haven't seen that much snow since i was like...12 maybe?!?!? Good thing Dad has a snow blade and knows his neighbors pretty well or we'd probably still be in IOWA! So we spent most our time in the living room watching TV and keeping warm by the fire place. We didn't lose power or anything so that was good!!

Katie, Allison and I weren't able to make it home Saturday, but we did drive home today (sunday). The roads were perfect!!! I think we saw about 30 cars/trucks/semis in the ditches along the way.

Exciting news....well Allison had her first RICE CEREAL this past week! Grandma, Katie and I picked it up at Walmart on Tuesday afternoon and she had her first taste on Wednesday! It took her sometime to get use to the taste but she really enjoys it! I'm so happy for that. We picked up some applesauce and apple banana baby food today for some taste testing later this week or next week. Don't want to give her too many things to try right away!

She is also pretty much sitting up on her own now. Every once in awhile she'll start leaning, so I have to stick close to her, but she enjoys sitting and leaning forward as she holds herself up with her arms.

She has also mastered rolling from tummy to back, now it's just for the back to tummy roll! What else....oh she's almost able to hold herself up with her arms when she is on her tummy....so pretty much like doing a push up. Her belly still touches the floor, but she can get her chest up pretty well.

One last thing....Grandpa thinks she will be having a tooth coming in soon. She's been doing a lot of "Chewing" and drooling. Grandma says that the teeth are probably moving a bit under her gums....so I'm pretty excited about that.

Oh yea, our more exciting news......We are going to Jamaica in May!!! Two of Chuck's coworkers are getting married and are doing it in Jamaica at a Beaches Resort and asked us if we would come. Of course Chuck said yes!! He is really ready for a vacation. SO the 3 of us will be on our way to Jamaica on May 30th! Now just to find a dog sitter!!!
